Beautiful Shade Of Green & Peach Colored Blend Cotton Hand Embroidered Block Printed Sari. Pallu & Border features block printed floral, paisley & peacock design with black thread, mirror work. It has black fringes on pallu. SImilar block print with floral design in center portion of the saree. What is special about this saree? BLOCK PRINTED WORK:Block printing is the process of printing patterns on textiles, by means of incised wooden blocks. The wood block is carefully prepared, the areas to show white are cut away with a knife, chisel, or sandpaper leaving the design to show in black at the original surface level. The block is inked and brought into firm and even contact with the cloth and then struck on the back with a wooden mallet to ensure a good impression.
