What is special about this saree? Handwoven in the small town of Begumpur, West Bengal, these sarees can be identified by their loosely woven, light-weight make and contrasting borders. Each saree comes with a handloom mark. Begampurisarees are woven in balanced texture with contrasting borders in red, black, purple, orange etc., emphasized by a serrated edge motif. Narrow to broader borders are woven with designs of variety of stripes and figured motifs using dyed cotton yarn.
